Cdc Data Use Agreement
Your NHSN configuration administrator can view the data sharing model for this group at any time in the NHSN application. Making identifiable data publicly available would constitute a breach of the Data Use Agreement and CDC will immediately terminate the Data Use Agreement. CDC and your national public, local or territorial health agency have entered into a Data Use Agreement (DUA). The Department of Health has access to data transmitted to the CDC`s National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) of health facilities in the jurisdiction. The new provisions aim to allow access to data exclusively for surveillance and prevention purposes. The overall objective of the new access rules is to increase the value of data reported to the NHSN for public health purposes. The following questions and answers contain more details about the NHSN Data Use Agreement. Some healthcare facilities voluntarily report certain data to NHSN, including in jurisdictions with hai reporting mandates. These voluntarily reported data may be made available to health authorities through UNAS. Before the Department of Health begins accessing NHSN data under a new DUA (on the 1st day of the 4th month following the DUA comes into effect), CDC will allow healthcare facilities in the jurisdiction to deny some or all of the voluntary reports to NHSN on monthly reporting plans. . . .
